Just opened fitbit luxe yesterday, charged it overnight and was so excited to start using my watch today, but it said battery 28%. I attach it to the charger again thinking maybe I missed the pins the first time, it suddenly says 37%. I go check on it a hour later, 24%. I've changed from using a USB block (which worked for my old fitbit inspire, btw) to my laptop, now it says 42%. Can these numbers even be trusted?

I can confirm that charging it through the laptop works. I'm currently typing this on my laptop with my Luxe plugged in.
I haven't found the charger to be finicky, but tapping the device to see how much it's charged and be quite a challenge. I had to remove my device completely from the charger to find out that it had a 12% charge.
Generally speaking, adaptive charging, while it works, can often be slower than just charging it through the wall, so I would possibly try a different socket next time to see if there might be something wrong with the wall socket.

Hi, @nhyt , it sounds like your Fitbit is charging, but quite slowly. Also, in most cases a laptop will not deliver charge unless it is awake and active.
It is perfectly safe to plug your Luxe into a wall charger that will accept a USB cable to get much more reliable and faster results, as long as the wall charger is UL/CE certified. The charger that came with your cell phone is usually perfect for the task.
I would recommend trying with a wall charger before any further investigations.

Thanks for your reply, it ended up being the opposite for me - the laptop could charge the luxe but not the wall. Has anyone else found the charger to be quick finicky?

Laptop charging works, but it is generally speaking much slower than wall charging, and depending on the lap top, as mentioned above, charge may not be delivered at all once the laptop has gone to sleep.
