Notifications are not coming through my Luxe

So despite doing all the teiuble shooting, every reset, reinstall etc. I still don't receive any notifications. I may as well just be wearing a normal watch as I have to carry my phone around now.

What a waste of money!

Hi there, @Sax100. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. I'm sorry to hear that your Luxe is still not receiving notifications despite all the steps you've done so far. I understand how you must be feeling, I will do my best to help you with this! 

In addition to what you've tried, I'd recommend checking whether your Luxe is in sleep mode. When sleep mode is on:

  • Notifications, goal celebrations, and reminders are muted.
  • The screen's brightness is set to dim.
  • The screen stays dark when you turn your wrist. To wake your tracker, firmly tap the screen twice.
  • The sleep mode icon illuminates in quick settings.

I'm having the same issue, fixing to return mine as I just bought it Monday. My phone calls come through just fine as well as other notifications, but not the texts. Ive seen several complain about this.

Hi there, @SunsetRunner. Thanks for stopping by in the Fitbit Community Forums. I'm sorry to hear that your Luxe is not receiving text messages. I understand where your concern is coming from. 

I've seen you contacted our Support Team after posting here and they've already assisted you. Please stay tuned for updates on your case. Since you already have a ticket open with them it'd be easier to continue the follow up on this matter with them directly. 

Nevertheless, I was wondering if you are an iOS user? If so, are iMessages the text message you're referring to? I also have an iPhone and had a similar trouble with those messages. The way I fixed it was by trying to toggle the iMessage setting; general > Messages > iMessage and verified the "Show Previews" was on "Always". All good with my text messages now. Hope this helps in case you haven't tried so yet.

Thank you, When I got to settings, messages, and imessage, it does not give me a show previews screen, it only lets me toggle imessage on or off.  right below it it says send & receive...

I found the show previews under notifications and it is set to always.  i even went under fitbit and it says always (default).  I bought at wal mart and they have a 14 day return policy.  I will give fitbit till Monday to answer, if not I'll return and just go back to my apple watch and get a cute band or something.  It's just too much money to spend when all the features dont work 😞

I finally figured it out the other day. No thanks to Fitbit themselves...

Try this.

Click on the battery icon, top left

Luxe

Notifications 

Choose which you prefer. Unfortunately you can't have both texts and WhatsApp app doing it this way.

I had both at the beginning but then both disappeared.

I got calls back recently after the 100th reinstall.

I'm never getting another fitbit though.
