Render to Caesar... (a personal HR sensor analysis)

I've been always vocal about the huge problems of Fitbit devices with the HR sensors (particularly Sense/Versa 3 but also Charge 4) so I would have expected some problems with Luxe as well.

Instead I have been very happily surprised about the performance of little Luxe.

Yesterday I run a session with 6 fast intervals, a session that is very demanding for the heart that needs to increase the beats rapidly.

Here is the result

As you can see apart the first 3 minutes where Lux had big problems to acquire a stable signal then the graph is actually very good with only few instants of delay during the transitions.

Below you can find the original screenshots from the respective apps.

I also tracked a workout (it was a session part of 12weeks program by Adidas Training) and while I can't compare the HR similarly (Fitbit export tool for non GPS tracked activities has a bug and return an empty TCX, problem highlighted to Fitbit since many years) it seems that they are not to different (note: for this specific case I used Polar with H10 chest monitor)

So congratulation to Fitbit that for this specific point made a good tracker (much much better than Sense/Versa3 that, in my opinion, should have been removed from market because totally not fit for purpose).

Note: if you want a much more complete review please head to the Quantified Scientist video that, as usual, is really complete and objective.

Wear the tracker a little tighter or move it up the arm.
