Since there does not seem to be a place anywhere to leave a product review, I wanted to leave one here. I don't expect to be able to resolve the issues I have, but it might be nice to know if anyone else is experiencing similar challenges. My issues are as follows:
1. I cannot customize the display at all. I really only care about my steps, the time, battery life, and being able to see calls/texts coming through. All the other controls get in the way and I would strip them away if I could. But I can't.
2. The screen for Do Not Disturb is so close to the "home screen" that it is way too easy to accidentally turn on DND. Especially if you are a mom of small kids who like to paw at your "bracelet". I count on my FitBit in order for me to be on top of notifications, but so often I find that it's somehow been put in DND mode and I've missed several calls or messages!
3. My FitBit seems to arbitrarily unpair from my phone, even if not on DND mode. So it's not enough to worry that I might have my FitBit on DND - now I have to worry that it's just decided it's not talking to my phone, and I'm not getting notifications for that reason.
4. The battery drains inconsistently and without warning. The battery life is typically what I'd expect. But I do find it odd that once you get to 20% it's basically a death sentence. It will not let me go about my day on less than 20%, so then why call that 20%? Call that 0%! Furthermore, there are times when the battery is at 40% - 50%, and then I wake up (I do not wear it for sleep), and the thing is completely dead.
Essentially, the Luxe is unreliable. Unreliable in delivering notifications, and unreliable when it comes to battery life. My Alta lasted me over 5 years with zero issues and was completely reliable until the day it shut off and never came back. If I could give the Luxe back for the Alta, I would! I haven't even had the Luxe a year and I'm already frustrated with it.
Please let me know if there's an option that is a little more reliable and without all the bells and whistles! They just seem to get in the way of the FitBit's functionality.
