Step count error - app exceeding actual count

For some reason, my step count for yesterday (10/09/2024) has decided to sky rocket throughout today, going from 13k to 21k in a couple of hours. I actually did around 9k yesterday. Anyone else had this issue? I have tried syncing, uninstalling, removing my phone, and still cannot get it to work. It flashes up accurate for a second and then goes up.

Hi @pKF5310. Welcome to the community forums.

Thank you for sharing the inquiry regarding steps. Sorry to know the difficulty.

Please confirm if you are using Mobile track. It is a service that allows you to count steps using your phone even if you forget to wear your Fitbit. You can "unpair" Mobile Track from your account.  On your Fitbit app go to the upper left corner, on the phone and device icon. Click on your phone icon and on the 3 dots and choose "unpair".
