Hi All,
This may feel like a sharp reaction or a comment. But after what I have gone through it really feels like a stab in back to my fellow countrymen
I bought a fitbit Luxe (Gold edition) for my mom as a gift and she didn't want to use it because she didn't like it
I bought this from fitbit store India and the policy in India and US is so drastic, that even a genuine case like mine, is just being dismissed. Had I bought the same in US, it would have been taken back, no questions asked. So my question to Fitbit is why such Two Face and racist Treatment

Hi @4-21 sorry your mom didn't like the Luxe. I know in the US, the return policy is 45 days from date of purchase and I'm not sure if India is the same. Two faced? The US warranty is 1 year and some of the European countries have 2 years. It's just how businesses work. Racist? I'm not sure how that enters into it. Not sure what to suggest, but you could always try using it yourself, gift it to a friend or family member or sell it.

48 hours without even opening the box, please tell how does it sound fair to you when you see other countries being given 45 days no questions asked

@4-21 where did you buy it? Fitbit.com or a third party retailer. Various retailers have their own time frame in which to return an item for a refund.

Why why why does everything have to come back to race! It is just local policy! Nothing to do with race.

@4-21 before purchasing a product, I read everything possible from a company's website. When you joined these forums, did you read the Terms of Service that you agreed to abide by? click to read. Just curious, but when did you purchase the Luxe? 48 hours to return a device? Haven't heard of that before.

Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @4-21, thanks for getting back to us @SunsetRunner and for the heads up @Odyssey13. I'm sorry to hear your mother didn't like her Fitbit Luxe @4-21.
As @Odyssey13 mentioned, every country has its policies and returns are not the same everywhere. I checked your case and you must wait for the India distributors to respond and inform you the steps you must follow to return your product. This part of our Return Policy.
Thank you for visiting the forums.

To add to your concern, The support is unreachable doesn't respond. I had to message the marketing country on a LinkedIn together some response.
This is how badly the company is having support system in my country.

Fitbit are far from being great with customer services. However, the laws they follow and set by the local government - not Fitbit. As the laws change so will the companies response.
I’m sure that you are aware that Fitbit has a better returns policy than Apple in India?

Does comparing yourself with apple make you less wrong? Why aren't you comparing with their products as well.
If you care so much about consumers. Why not provide an equivalent policy. Who's stopping you?

Without feeling entitled, how would you feel if the same policy would have been in US and for India it would be the other way. Would you have taken the company to court?
