Hello!
I am turning 30 on March 28th and have placed a challenge on myself Jan 1st to lose 30 by 30! Ihave been averaging about 2 lbs a week so I feel with a little more intensity and even more discipline I can achieve my goal! Wish me luck!! Post your short or long term goals below if you would like! We can help keep each other motivated!

Keep going! You can do it! Once you make it to 10,000 once or twice, it is much easier to make it every day!

Things are going! My am not weighing myself for a while because I was getting a tad bit obsessed with it. So I am going to just do what I'm doing and see where I am after another week or so. Increasing my workouts significantly this week and really working towards meeting my running goals. I could do a lot more running wise if my knees didn't bother me, so I am going to see the chiropractor next week and see what we can do to help with knee pain during running. I've got a 10K to do in less than 4 months, so I really need to pick up the pace on increasing my distance. But, I'll get there....slowly! but I'll get there!

I hope the chiropractor can help you. 10 k in 4 months is not too far off. Do you know how many steps in a 10k? That must be allot.
I know all about getting obsessed with the scale. I weigh myself many times a day and take the lowest reading
For now I have my calories under control. 6 more lbs to lose by Valentines day.
Happy Counting

If you have a shorter 3 ft stride length, about 11,000 steps.
If walking it with 2 ft stride, obviously more.

I'll be 30 in December and I'm looking to lose 100 pounds. Do you do any of the challenges? Good luck on your journey!

Ditto's - wanted to know how it went.
Usually time based goals for weight loss lead to failure - because the stress itself causes water to be retained.
And then the unrealistic weekly loss amounts aren't sustainable for several reasons.
But some can do it, if they don't care what the weight is that is lost exactly.
So I'm curious too.
