Anyone using Fitbit along with weight loss surgery?

I am in the process of having the gastric sleeve done and I will have to be tracking everything so I bought the Fitbit to start getting used to the tracking process before surgery.  Anybody else in this position?

Hi, Cheshire54!  I had the Vertical Sleeve 3/22/14.  My six month anniversary is tomorrow and I've lost 60 lbs.  The weight loss came off fast the first 3 months and has really slowed down since.  I'm using the Fitbit for extra motivation, but it would be nice to have some friends experiencing a similar situation.  Let me know if you have any questions and add me as a friend if you'd like!

P.S. I don't regret having the sleeve one bit.  It's one of the best decisions I've ever made and I feel great!  Still need to lose 60-70 lbs though...

I have not yet had surgery but am planning on having a bypass early 2015.

I will be tracking everything using Fitbit.

Any advise on how to maximise the benifits of surgery and Fitbit would be fantastic.
