I've noticed that if I use the scales after a shower that they give a slightly higher reading. Is there a reason for this ? im wondering if it's because my feet might still be wet on the soles or hot ???

Might be the water absorbed by your skin and hair. But that is as much a guess as yours.

I’d also put my money on the hair: if you’re a woman with long hair, wash it when showering and just dry it with a towel, it will be heavier than when completely dry. For me, it wouldn’t make any difference whatsoever .
Bottomline: always weigh yourself at the same time of the day and in the same conditions, ideally first thing in the morning after trip to the bathroom. And try not to displace your scale, as it might need to recalibrate itself otherwise (in the case of the Aria). I read a post recently where someone stored their Aria vertically (probably because of lack of real estate) after weighing themselves and wondered about the fluctuations.

I typically weight less when I weight myself after showering (tried for fun a few times). I guess I am so active in the shower I burn some fat 😉 .
