Hello fellow fitbitters,
I am pretty new here, but I love my Flex and the motivation it has given me so far. I have decided to challenge myself further by starting this thread for a challenge for the month of August. My challenge for the month of August will be to lose a minimum of 5 lbs., maintain at least 10k steps per day, and continue to log my food on a daily basis. Your challenge can be whatever you want it to be. Please feel free to share and we can motivate each other throughout the month and share our results.

I will join!!!! I don't have a fitbit yet but I am using the app on my Iphone to track exercise, bmr, and daily in/out calorie intake! My goal is 10lbs

I am in!! I just got my fitibt a couple days ago for my birthday and am really enjoying the motivation! I am really excited to reach my goal. For August I would like to lose 6lbs, maintain 10,000 steps a day, and log all my food into mfp. Keep up the great work everyone!

We all want to lose, good luck with your 10,000 steps, you can do it. I did 7,100 steps today hoping to do 10,000 soon just need to get a going and cut down on in take of my food.

I know I'm a little late but better late than never, would you guys mind if I joined in...I would like to lose 4 pounds this month. I'll be doing at least 100,000 steps per week along with 450 fitness minutes. I log my food daily on Sparkpeople and MUST do better with my weekend logging (if I don't log it, it doesn't exist, lol). I'm trying to do away with fried foods and anything processed (so, so very hard).

We all fall of the good path of our eating habit, that happened to me just today, but tomorrow I'M going to do better, I'm working at a place where they have great cook's and tomorrow is going to be better for all of us. Welcome to the group.

I'm with you. I want to maintain 10k steps a day, log my food daily, not exceed my 1400 calorie a day goal and lose 5 pounds by the end of August. I can jump in since my first week of August has been good so far. Let's do this!

Hi I am Pat M. feel free to check out my profile, but it seems like a plan to me. I just getting into using the Fit Bit Flex which I purchased last Friday so I have had mine for just over a week, so yes I am up for the challenge. so I guess you could add me as a friend so we can encourage each other.

I need to really stay on this goal, we are going on a little vaction this week so I need to really watch what I eat while I'm gone,WE CAN DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just purchase my fitbit yesterday, I love it. I am very motivated and already walked my 10,000 steps today. I have to start slow, however, I do intend to improve. I need to lose weight, and would like to join your challenge, I believe 5 pounds in one month is feasable. Count me in.

I am in. My goal for August is keep over 10,000 steps and faithfully log my food. I just got the MFP app and hope that helps.

I am in too!! I got my fitbit 5 days back.. My target for august is at least 12k steps per day and to lose about 2-3 lbs per week.
Also, consuming at least 64oz of water daily and log my food. Trying not to exceed 1200-1400 cal per day.
