yes calories in versus calories out. But you have to measure how much you should be eating to maintain or lose. 3,500 is one pound. I look at extra earned calories or lost weight as in the bank and I want to build that up. Hope that helps.

It list the number of calories you should have each day if you put the information in on how much you want to loose. If you go over one day just get back on track the next day.

Probably not, the chacne of yo-yoing is extreme, your over indulge, then you'll try and starve yourself, then you'll crack and eat a block of cheese, and then you'll be worse off.

Your body resets so just go as you should and try to avoid the slip ups. Everyone had slip ups so don't worry that was yesterday and today is a new day 🙂

It is automatically added into your allotted calories. If you eat those calories plus what is says, you are over eating.
You can see that on the days you get more steps and etc that your allotted calories go up.

I found this to offer: For each 3500 cal you eat in excess of expenditure you store approximately 1 pound of body fat. Pure fat is worth 9 cal per gram ( a pound of it 450 grams), then would store 4150 cal. A pound of body fat is not pure fat though it contains water protein and other materials ( hense the lower calorie value,)
