Hello and welcome to the forums. You'll find lots of support and suggestions from the community.
You've just started. Knowing you want to change, getting a FitBit and posting here is a good beginning. Use the log in the dashboard to keep track of your food and water. It's easy to do and you'd be amazed at how it helps to change how you eat and drink.
Depending on your physical condition, you start by increasing your activity level and decreasing the calories. Don't expect it to happen overnight. Be good to yourself and don't kick yourself for past bad habits. Decide to make a difference each day, in whatever way you can.
Start looking at your eating habits. Replace the fats and sugars with fresh vegetables and learn to eat grilled, not fried. Find new food items you can enjoy that are good for you. Salads and veggies can be good.
Get moving. Set a goal for yourself and start stepping. Take the long way at the grocery store and walk. Park your car further from the door to any store or mall. You'll find ways to do it.
Just by being here, you're on your way.
