By Pass and BMI

ANSWERED

I have had gastric by pass (8 years ago) lost 120 lbs and came off all of the diabetic meds that were hindering my weight loss. I am now wondering how that, excess skin, will affect the BMI number. I am currently in the 27 range and weight 185. I know that the 27 is related to the weight but I could have 3 to 5 lb of dead skin.

I feel great and will loos the weight to 182 -- eventually.Man Frustrated

Following your link I ran in to body fat measurement. I appear to have 18.5% body fat which says in am on the edge of lean for my age. SO I guess myweight of 185, which I am floating at, is good. I still want ot get to 182 so that I have some bounce room?
