Hi, I am wondering what fit bit to buy so I can work out a calorie deficit. I need a tracker that tracks all my calories burnt through the day so at rest ie sitting, sleeping, doing laptop work. As well as doing home workouts and walking

All fitbits track both your calorie burn through activity and your BMR calories (those you burn just keeping your body alive, even when asleep) but you will get better results from a model that tracks your heart rate (so exclude the Flex 2 and Inspire)
With the Fitbit app you can set up a food plan that helps you track a chosen calorie deficit and you can enter your food intake using the app or alternative app that syncs with fitbit such as MyFitnessPal.
So, your main choice would be between a tracker or a smartwatch. Trackers tend to be smaller, cheaper and with less features, such as the Charge 4 which has just been released. Smartwatches are bigger, pricier but can do much more than track your activity. The latest model in this range is the Versa 2.
If you go to https://www.fitbit.com/compare you can take the quiz which will help you decide what model would be best for you.

I would go for the Inspire HR out of the two. If calorie monitoring is important then I think you really need heart rate monitoring.

I have the fitbit versa along with weight gurus smart scale - this combination allows me to know exactly what you're looking for. I would compare the Versa to the smart watch you mentioned, buy the one that fits your needs, along with a fitbit compatible smart scale.
