Calorie restriction: pros and cons -- what do you think?

Hi All,

 

I just listened to a funny podcast (The Station Wagon) and the most recent episode was about calorie restriction (https://soundcloud.com/wagonpod/episode-17-giving-up-excess-calories). 

 

What do you think has worked best for you?

Cut out all those extra carbs ie:  bread at dinner, too much pasta (which I love),  salad instead of sandwich.

Good advice, @vreeke.  I used to love a peanutbutter sandwich (or, two) for lunch before going for a weekout. I changed that to peanutbutter on celery - still get the protein of the peanutbutter, but not the carbs of the bread. When driving home from the gym, a fresh, crisp Red Delicous Apple makes a great snack - low calorie, low glycemic index, and sweet to the taste.
