Hi all,
I am a tiny petite person (5" and 105lbs) and I would like not to lose weight, but lose fat. I am far from fat, but I would be fitter if I lost some of that thigh and booty fat. I train 5-7 days a week for 20 to 60 minutes each time and I make sure that my intake is lower then my out calorie wise but I feel hungry often lately and seeing that everyone seems to burn 2500-3000 Cal/day, I am wondering if it is normal that I burn only 2400 at most and that's when I spend the whole day walking (20k + steps). It is kinda rare I burn that much. Is Fitbit right about calorie burning? I don't get how can people burn so much daily when it takes everything for me to burn just 2000 Cal in a day!

Hi @Idirian -- it's probably no surprise to you, but the main reason you don't burn as many calories as others is because you are smaller than most people. For you, 2400 calories/day is pretty exceptional. According to this BMR calculator even at a very intense exercise level you would only be burning around 2200 calories/day. Fitbit is likely overestimating your daily burn. That is true for many of us. It is good at helping you keep track of whether your exercise trend is up or down, however, and that can give you some clues.
In any event, some weight training might get you closer to the lean look you are looking for.

Do you have access to a scale that can measure your body fat and muscle percentages? You may well be within what is healthy for your body size. Women naturally carry a little extra fat/padding in the thighs and bum. Unless you really train - like for a marathon - it is going to be tough to lose any extra fat padding without compromising your overall health.
