hi
i have a BMR of 2271 ish (48yrs, 185cm, 90kg, sed)
and have said i woud like to lose 0.5 kg / wk ie. 500 cal deficit per day
BUT
the FitBit dashboard comes up with 1824 daily burn (though it would be 2271)
and cal to eat of 1324 (through it would be 1824)
(this is with no food intake or steps)
Why is my daily burn 1824? shouldn;t it be my BMR of 2271 (and then i should eat 500 less than that)
If someone could explain how this all works that would be great.

@rogerw- I am not sure what you have as your BMR is accurate. That seems really high. I am pretty sure you should be around 1900 or so. I would recheck your numbers using a good on line source. The number fit is giving you, aligns with what I think is your truer number.. but, I am not an expert, just been around the calculator once or twice..
