Cravings

Every time I have tried to diet in the past, after a short while, I end up craving sweet stuff, and wanting something like a Mars Bar.

How do you guys deal with the cravings for certain things

Don't take an extreme deficit or diet if you are - and work in some everyday to your calorie allowance so you can make it. Unless you plan on never having this in the future, denial diets normally fail as the avoided food comes back with a vegence.

And even during the diet, may cause binges.

If you know you cannot leave a bag of mini's for 3 each day, without going overboard, then buy the 1 bar at some point during the day, enjoy it when most needed.

That way you learn portion control and eating correctly for amount of activity you do.

I limit the amount of that stuff that I eat, but do not eliminate it from my diet. I love using the fitbit to figure out how many calories I need to save and then just eat that amount. For me, single serving pre portioned cups of ice cream worked best because then I couldn't underestimate the amount I ate.
