Crazy ?

Hola! Have and love my Alta. was just reading (and was told by Fitbit) that if u don't move your arm, it doesn't do as well at tracking your steps. So...i was wondering if i can also get a Fitbit Zip (the little clip-on) and attach it to my sneakers when i am grocery shopping, to track all my steps, since nirmally it doesnt track my steos, since i am holding the cart. QUESTION:Would i be able to sync both Futbits with WW for activity ooints (maybe nit syncing at the same time.) Thanks, a 73 lb. Lifetimer from Sturbridge, MA.

It would be possible: see Sync Multiple Devices to Your Fitbit Account with Multi-Tracker Support (blog post) and Can I use more than one Fitbit device with the same account? (help article).

Yes, there may be situations when you do not get full credit for your steps. OTOH, the reverse is probably true too. For instance, I get crazy step counts when I’m grating carrots or preparing meatballs, during which I’m standing still in the kitchen. In the end, I believe it evens out.

You can just put your Alta in your pocket. That's what I do with my Surge or Charge 2.

The way the Fitbits work is a little more complicated than moving the arm. It senses g-forces with each step. If your hand is resting on the shopping cart handle steps won't register. No matter what tracker you use, it probably won't register steps where you are moving slowly.
