December 2016 Step Goal Challenge

ANSWERED

-This challenge doesn't have anything to do with USW, CW, GW, UGW, or PW.

-Instead, the goal is reach the most amount of daily step goals during the month of December-2016.  Challenge yourself to hit 31 out of 31 days. Increasing the # of daily checkins increases the chances of achieving 31/31 days. If you discover this mid month, no problem just post away.

Posting format:

1) List your daily step goal.

2)  List the # of daily step goals achieved during December-2016

Since I'm done early I'm considering going outside and sitting in the hot tub for a bit. I was going to do it earlier, but wanted to do my workout/steps first.  The temperature has dropped, but I think the snow has stopped.  I cleared off the snow down to the tub earlier, so I'm probably going to brave the cold....

I was actually less than a 1000 steps shy when I stopped working out earlier.  I had a few minor chores to do and figured I would get them in.  Just before I sat down at the computer I checked and I'm at 20,088 for the day.  Woman Happy

Wanted to post this beforehand and not after but today is going be a rest day for my knees. Ive had 30+ 10k days in a row and my body just gave the signal for one rest day.  If i end up hitting 10k for the day the great, but im expecting 5/6k.

Good luck everyone.

It's probably not realistic to push for a daily goal, especially one that pushes you.  Like you, I'm a little worn out today so I'm breaking my steps into smaller groups.  I won't get the heart rate as high or burn as many calories, but so be it.

I really have to go back to doing 2000-3000 steps before work.  I'm playing catch-up at my desk too much recently and I'm coming home with woefully low steps.

@A_LurkerI totally agree about tackling a portion of the daily steps early. If I don't get x amount of steps in by noon it becomes much harder at night.

@almost_where That's why I do two Leslie Sansone videos in the morning; it knocks out about 3,000 steps and gives me my 30 minutes of activity. If I time it right, I can get ten more minutes and another thousand steps walking a section of the park where I change buses.

Anyway, my goal is 10,000 steps per day, and I've done it 12/31.

Was up later than I should have been yesterday (Wed & Fri mornings are 6am work starts, early but I'm loving the 2:30pm finish) so didn't end up posting.  I think I'm going to be up later tonight than I planned as well.

Am I supposed to do this every day? I've had a blah week and not been good about my evening exercise.

But: Step goal 10,000

@DanielleinDC

The only requirement with this challenge is having fun with it 🙂 For me personally, I do not have a good track record when it comes to consistency with things so that is why I post daily on here.
