I'm confused about the food calorie count for Fitbit. Does it matter if I'm under, over or right on my target for eating? Will it hurt my weight loss if I'm under or in the yellow or red?

@PoeticGamer1- it's going to be different for everyone. I'm not counting calories at the moment, but when I was I would often be over target during the day, but under and then just on target at the end of the day. This was because I would make up steps / calories burned after work and even after dinner.
I'd be more concerned where you're ending up at the end of the day. Some of it will also depend on if you're working on a small deficit (-250) or a large deficit (-1000). If you're working on the smaller one then you want to end the day on target or even a little under. If you're working on a larger deficit try and end the day on target. A little under and you may lose weight maybe a bit faster, a little over and you may lose weight a little slower. Since the calories burned is based on an average person just pick a strategy and try it for 3-4 weeks and see how it goes.

Then I would try and end the day in the green zone (a piece of fruit or some nuts at the end up of the day can add those last few needed calories). Try this for about a month and then decide if it's working for you.
