Elasticated bottoms... errrrr.

ANSWERED

I already wrote discussion posts about my waist fat queries..but now wanted to inquire about another problem..I don't know if it's just my problem 😉 When I wrap a towel, wear denims with belts, trousers with belts, My tummy & sides appear flat & in shape(completely satisfactory). But as soon as I get into somthing which has elastic like boxers or joggers, A slight amount of bump appears on the sides which makes me look odd at the waist. (Me being on the shorter side with my height somewhere bw 5'6-5'7 maybe also adding to the problem).

But I never face this when I am wearing woven. Also if i wear my boxers low waist then it looks ok as well.. But when it comes to mid rise elastics.. urrrrrrrrr..Man Sad Is this faced by everyone? if yes what seems to be the solution?

The OP’s question reminded me of the recurring "insecure woman" sketch in the Fast Show (great British humor from the 1990’s), in which she kept asking men around her "does my bum look big in this?" Smiley Happy

If @abby_p believes some clothes are less flattering than others and that bothers him, the obvious solution would be to use clothes that are more flattering.

Your belt/tight wasteline is functioning as a girdle.  The look in elastic is probably closer to what your body truly looks like.

so based on your name and writing style, I am making the assumption that you are a woman. 5'6, 5'7 is above average height for us. You are not short. I am 5'7 and I am not short. As far as elastic, its not measured to size like a pant or belt. So it is cutting into you because it is tighter and pushing things up and out.

Ahh!!! I'm sorry!! I mean, I just proved again what happens when one ASSumes. Yes, of course men can and should. I think most do, just few actually get it out. And the height makes sense now. Are you sure it's fat and not skin coming over. Depending on how much you've lost, it could be skin...

Sounds like loose skin - the triumph badge of weight loss but a pain the **ahem**.  I have it as well after 100 lbs lost.  I wear stuff that kind of holds it in and it is slowly getting better the longer I hold the weight off.  Wear stuff that looks good, look in the mirror and go "**ahem**, I look good!" and then have a nice day :-).
