I don't know about you guys, but my fit bit makes me feel amazing! Funny how I notice how many others are wearing Fit Bits too! Yes, I'm in a cult LOL.
Okay so I'm up to 3kg loss, I must start measuring myself too as my clothes are looser. Having to write in the food diary has shown me about food. How much I can now eat if I eat clean.
It makes me accountable.
It has shown me that I'm responsible for what I eat, not my partner who keeps on bringing home the chocy and cakes as he likes them. Yeah I give in sometimes, but this is a journey.
I've added some full on vitamin B tablets to my breakie and magnesium powders at night.
I am a new woman.
I really am.
I jump up in the morning and have VITALITY and ZEST for life!
Haven't felt like this in years.
Thank you fit bit 🙂

That's wonderful @Blossom9
Have fun with your buddy
Clean eating is great, but once in a while allowing to have a non so clean treat can do miracles. Keeping possible binging at bay when the desire is there to have some, being mindful and aware about.

Don't eat junk food, as suggested by @SunsetRunner, have some intestinal fortitude.
Life is not a mystery, it's the cumulatively result of what you do.

Oh wow two different messages!
I think it's amazing that some people never eat any junk, I think I've eaten it for so long it's hard to say absolutely never! Yes I think as suggested in the other reply I may binge! But knowing I can handle it sometimes and keep on the road to successful weight loss makes it okay.
You know a bit like telling a teenager they can't! What do they do?!

When eating food provided by nature mostly, our bodies crave more and more of the good things, not asking for having 'manufactured made food'. There can be cravings to have food which don't provide good nutritients for our bodies (due recovering from bad habits), these cravings diminish as having more of the good things.
Our bodies are also more satisfied when eating cleaner, as the food provides our bodies with mostly all nutritients it needs, not actually needing more & not being hungry.
Personally try to choose healthy food during the day so when the craving is there to have some chocolat (by the evening), not being that hungry, taking less from automatically just for the taste, instead of being so hungry and have anything in sight (when not carefull), it can trigger to have more just cause of the taste, but if not being that hungry, having enough with a little bit.

You have to decide what works best for you. Everyone is different when it comes to dealing with foods that are less than optimal.
For some, removing them completely from their lives works well. The all or nothing approach is the best way for them. My boyfriend is like that.
For others, like myself, taking each decision as it comes works better. I already have a lot of restrictions due to food intolerances (including foods most consider healthy), so restricting it too far makes me rebel and eat All Of The Foods when I've been "good" for a long time. So if I have a mini cinnamon roll (and I do mean "mini" - like the size of a silver dollar) then it costs me 60 or 70 calories and makes it so I can resist the large slice of cake later on.
You will start to see a pattern over time, whether it's binging when you restrict your foods or binging when you slowly let them creep back in. Obviously you should choose quality and nutritional "bang for your buck" every time. You just have to figure in how your head deals with various levels of restriction too, not just your body. The goal is to be in it for the long haul.
