Fitbit and Strava

I am excited about the new partnership between the 2 companies.  I've been riding my bike and purchased a Charge HR to monitor my heart rate.  With the new announcement, Strava is ONLY going to work with the Surge?  Any plans to include the Charge HR?

BTW, love my Fitbit Charge HR!

My strava rides used to upload to my fitbit HR, but now it doesn't.  I have checked and it says they are linked, but I now have to manually upload.  Any ideas?

By far, the biggesst reason I purchased my fitbit ChargeHR was so that Strava could "see" my heart rate through my device's Bluetooth connection.  It would be an understatement to say that I'm disappointed fitbit doesn't allow that.  I understand you can do that with the Surge, but with all the "Good news for Strava Athletes and Fitbit lovers" announcements coupled with positive reviews of the ChargeHR heartrate accuracy (I do have a Mio that is often not remotely accurate re:  heartrate), I naively assumed that fitbit wouldn't have intentionally hobbled this important functionality between my device and Strava.

I agree with John.  The main reason for my purchased my fitbit was so that i could see my heartrate in strava.  I feel like the device was misrepresented in it's descrption

I agree. I like the HR and was excited about it "working" with Strava. I
don't like the Surge, for the money, I'd rather buy an Apple Watch, which I
feel is unnecessary anyway.

Strava is (finally) introducing a stationary bicycling tracking feature to its premium members.  My point is:  with so much competition among apps and products these days, the trend seems to be to add features to products, not take them away.  It would make me very happy if fitbit would reconsider and make the HR feature of their HR products available as a realtime option in Strava.  Please?!

Hey Everyone! I totally understand your point of view. However, currently heart rate data isn't syncing to any third-party apps. You can check the list of supported apps and see what's going to sync between both.

This is a great idea and I would love to see it posted in our Ideas Board because those suggestions are viewed directly by our engineers and developers and the best of this is that people can vote for them.

Thank you for your understandingSmiley Happy

Really bummed! Bought the Charge HR so I could synch with Strava and wathc real time heart rate ON STRAVA while I ride. I need to know exact zones when I am climbing. Most importantly, I wanted to go back and see the climbs on Strava and compare/annalyze data from previous rides and races and see VO2 thresholds/power/watage etc.

Did tons of research before buying and everyone said Fitbit HR and Strava are compatible. Not true. Non of my heart rate info transfers to Strava.

Anyone want a new Fitbit Charge HR?

In your research did any other band send realtime heart rate data back to the app?

I'm curious because there are definitely limitations with the surge but I haven't found anything that's general purpose enough  to replace.

I wouldn't wear the chest strap. I like the HR Charge, it gives me what I need for now. Once I upgrade my bike, I may look to something different, however it works for me for now.
