Getting healthy AGAIN

ANSWERED

On June 26, I stepped on the scale and came to realize I was 213. pounds. My ultimate goal is to lose 50 pounds and get to around a healthy 160-170 pound range.

As a result, I changed my eating habits and began to introduce cardiovascular exercise into my life again. As of July 13, I am down to 196 pounds and counting. I know I will hit my plateau soon but it makes me want to try even harder.

What are YOUR weight goals and what have YOU done to change your life around for the better?

All it takes is a little dedication and a lifestyle change to get you going. If I can do it, so can you!

Two years ago I was around 145-150 with about 20-25 pounds to lose, but THENNN I moved in with my boyfriend who has a spectacular metabolism and I...well...don't.  My willpower is approximately 0, and when someone suggests going out to eat it's **ahem** near impossible for me to say no. We are both lazy and as a result over the past 2 years we've probably eaten at restaurants far more than we ought to.  Add to this the fact that he's a pretty spectacular cook and you've got me as of the beginning of this month, at ~187 pounds.  Smiley LOL  But of course he hasn't gained a pound from any of this.  Lucky.  😛

ANYWAY.  I've lost ~7 pounds the past two weeks from getting back on track with healthy eating habits and exercise (most is water weight I'm sure, but I'll take it!).  I've now got about 55 pounds to go to get to my goal weight of 125.  I'll get there.  🙂

Hi there,

I am  going through almost the same situation.  My boyfriend is younger than me and his metabolism is always in high gear.  I'm trying to lose and he's trying to gain!  It's tough, but he does eat healthy foods which helps...I just have to keep in mind to eat throughout the day so I don't eat the same size portions as him or a big bowl of ice cream, because he can!

Trying to make exercise a more important part of my lifestyle! The fitbit and the communities help keep me interested and motivated 🙂

I am just getting started with Fitbit premium. I have 197 lbs to lose to reach my goal. I have lost 16.5 so still need to lose 180.5. Due to a diabetes scare I have changed my lifestyle. Taken away bread, pasta, sugar, salt and fat. The change over has not been as bad as I had imagined. I have my numbers back down in range now and no diabetes. Got a Fitbit Charge and love it. I am 71 years old and still working full time. (Keeps me off the streets). I need a lot of encouragement to get to my goal, and I am willing to give encouragement wherever I can.
