HCG Protocol/Diet

ANSWERED

Looking for people doing HCG *Haters: save your typing, this is for possitive support only*

I am super healthy, did Fitbit and 1,000 per day (healthy) calories June, July, Aug, Sept, Oct walking, weights, you name it. Lost FOUR pds. Pretty discouraging. I am the type who Needs and extra push. I was checked by my Dr. perfect health, thyroid OK.

Started HCG on Friday 10/31 Halloween and as of today I am down SEVEN! Fitbit really helps bc I can add the HCG food list to "custom" and can always have what I need to choose from. The mixed salads I created will be there without having to add individual veggies.
I am loving it. I KNOW I can maintain when I reach my goal bc I was a very light eater to start and I am active. If anyone else is on HGC pls join so we can give each other tips and support. Thank you

Hey Back2fit,

Good for you!!! Don't let the people preaching negativity at you about HCH get to you. I'm 12 months later, my thyroid condition is reversed, I've kept 100% of the weight off that I lost on HCG, plus lost another 10lbs of pire fat loss following Paleo. I'm now the happiest I've ever been, and while I won't do HCG again (I don't want to lose muscle mass or conditioning I've built crossfitting) I dont regret it one bit.

Stay strong! Stay motivated! Best of luck!

Good luck. Will they permit you to do yoga?

Hi! Newbie to the HCG scene here! 🙂

I too have been wondering about Yoga while on the HCG protocol. I know because of the major amount of fat & toxins being flushed out of our bodies and considering the VLCD in P2 very little excersize while in P2 was suggested by Dr.Simeons in his book.

I am on day#15 P2, TL 15.5. Im excited about the loss and I'm looking forward to being an even bigger loser. LOL (Hoping for 40lb., this is my 1st round)

🙂

Hi! thanks for the support!! Smiley Happy did great on P2, lost 27.4 over the "long"round. I started out thinking I'd do the short version, and felt so great I ketp on going.

I've been stabilizing for 10 days now, doing great so far. I actually feel like I'm stuffing myself most of the time, and a little scared of eating and gaining, but it has not happened at all.

I had a slipup, only a little cheat on Saturday with wine (oops) that has me retaining some water but as I've learned from my own body a) I see the "cheat" 2 days later on the scale ( +1.3 ouch) , not the next morning, and b) it normalizes after 3 days... (.8 already gone, even after reintroducing EVOO and nuts into the diet this week)

There are many naysayers, but I have to say, I saw hcg as a way back into fitness, to turn the page and get back on track. I got what I wanted!

Amberbart, did you gain muscle weight when you started crossfitting? I was doing it before hcg (and had fallen off the wagon for about 4 months) and now I'm slowly making up WODS that I do at home for now .. I'm a little concerned I'll gain? (I still want to lose about 15 more)

Hi Fortysomemom!

They didn't. only walking.

I worked out before so I missed doing something... I walked almost everyday after week 2,  for 30 mn. at a moderate pace. (I once tried to jog, and got really hungry)

When it was too late/evening, I got on my spin bike for 30 mn and just rolled, checking my HR to keep it pretty much the same as when I walked. That worked too!

Hey y’all! Another Fitbit newbie here and also on hcg.  Thought I’d comment since there haven’t been any recently. If you’re looking for hcg success stories by the boatload then you need to check out HCGChica.  This gal started a blog that has turned into a HUGE help guide.  It wasn’t available when I first did hcg in 2011 but I’m so grateful it’s out there now! She puts in so much effort to help other hcgers and has maintained her personal loss for over 3 years. She’s an awesome inspiration along with many others you can read about. (I am not affiliated with her website in any way, just a thankful reader!) Using my new Fitbit Blaze really keeps me aware and on track for my personal exercise goals and doing those fun challenges with my friends is a bonus! Good luck to any hcg folks still out there and congrats to those who have met their goals!Smiley Happy

I agree HCG CHICA on youtube is fabulous!!! Also, anyone heard of HCG 2.0? Im doing it this round and having even more success! It actually bring your body into Ketosis or a Ketogentic state!! You have more calories by calulating your BMR and you get to mix veggies but no fruit. You are allowed up to 30 g carbs per day also (from your veggies) your calories from your veggie you dont count anymore but only the carbs from those. Anyway....KETOSIS!!! 🙂

PS I wouldnt be scared away by the FDA saying anything about HCG. they dont even like natural whole food suppliments or vitamins AND they are infact tring to do away with homeopathic type remeadies. Hello..they want you to take their approved DRUGS from the doctors so they can get more money.

Let long lasting results from HCG help you make your decision not people that have never tried it. Just saying.

Thanks for your comment Sanya77! I appreciate the HCG 2.0 info; just got the book on Kindle 🙂 I'm reading and making notes and hope to transition into it when done with book. Thought I'd get ketone strips just to double check I'm there too! Anything to make this easier is a good thing 🙂 Down 11.2# in 11 days; can't stop now!

I have done HCG 2 times.  Once in 2015, and just finished my last 42 day round of it.  This is my results. Last time I did about the same results, but unfortunately did not follow the maintenance protocol properly and within 6 months I had gained 20 lb back.  This time I am more committed to the Phase 3 and 4 of the program and to make sure I get proper regular exercise and better overall diet throughout 2017. . Sure there are some opinionated people out there who think they know what is right for everyone, but do what you feel is best for you and you will be happy.  Don't get scared by detractors who post scary articles about it.  You are an adult and can do what you like. My advice is to ensure you follow phase 3 and 4 to the letter as well!  there is much conflicting information out there about it so make sure you do your research.  Phase 2 is not as hard as phase 3 and 4 I am finding.  Phase 2 is easy because you have such limited choices. When the choices for food increases the risk of eating the wrong things goes up  (for me anyway).  weight.png

@YYCchopper: you went from 218.9 to 184.7 in 54 days. That’s an average of 4.4 lb per week, which would translate in a calculated daily deficit of  2217 calories, if you had been losing weight the "normal" way. Sustaining a deficit that high for close to two months without outside intervention would have been extremely hard. This alone would make me wary of that outside intervention, and make me to ask myself: there has to be a catch. But as you said, it’s your body, your health, your decision.

Losing weight isn’t my primary preoccupation, but I’m working hard to gain muscle. I more or less know what it takes to do it the "normal" way: engage in a sound resistance training program based on progressive overload, eat enough protein, reduce stress, get enough sleep, and be patient (because it’s a very slow process). There would be an hormonal shortcut that could accelerate things: injecting the male hormone testosterone in the form of anabolic steroids. I wouldn’t consider that myself: I don’t want added muscle that bad and that fast that I’d be ready to accept the trade-off in terms of health.

Some people in the community have been able to achieve great results (like losing 100 pounds in one year) without resorting to shortcuts. It certainly requires a lot of dedication, hard work and patience, but I think in the end it’s worth it.
