Have a quick question

ANSWERED
My fitbit usually tells me I have 300 to 400 calories left at 10 pm sometimes more. I'm confused at this. Am I supposed to eat that before bed??? Today it's 8 pm and it said I needed 400 calories. And in a few hours it will tell me to eat more. I don't like eating at night. And I just ate to get in my zone. I don't want to be gaining weight. So any help would be awesome.

I've lost 9 lbs so far with my fitbit. But been more into tracking my food lately and I'm just really confused.

It is telling you that CAN consume more calories, it isn't telling you that you Must consume more calories. I always have left over calories at the end of the day, and I don't worry about it - when I get up the next morning, I just Break-Fast and eat some food.

Sorry for the silly question. I'm new to nutrition. Calories. Weight loss. Which is why I'm so heavy lol. Needed to ask.

It's a good question! There are people on here with serious opinions about that zone. I don't have one.

I think it's great if you don't eat at night, though. There's supposedly a connection between eating too close to bedtime and acid reflux. It's good to be upright while digesting. I had gotten out of the habit of eating at night, but now I have to kick it again. Here's the article that persuaded me late night eating was a mistake: http://nyti.ms/1rAJS3p

The author asserts that it can cause, oddly enough, hoarseness.
