I hate that as soon as I get out of a normal routine, I just stop! Ugh...frustrating! Looking for people to help keep eachother motivated and challenged. Inspiring messages, words of wisdom, anything LOL

You can do this @mwarren
Change habits gradually, keep on doing until they take over automatically from old habits, not wanting to go back..
Never do something you don't like to do (forcing to exercise for example, however normal walking is natural exercise & to stay active).

After losing about 40 pounds or so over about a year, I tried an old pair of jeans I had when I had all that extra luggage. I got my wife to take a picture of me wearing them, with my hands in front pushing the waist forward - the picture looks like two of me could fit in there. I keep that photo handy. And just like you, life has a way to take us away from our fitness regimen (impromptu visitors, health issues, family matters ... and the list goes on and on.) Once the storms has passed, it's really really tough to get back into that fitness regimen. That's when I take that photo out of the drawer, that's when I pull that old pair of jean out of the close and try them on again! It works for me!
I am too old now, but what really worked well for me when I was younger were activities that included a social aspect, a circule of friends; such that getting back into it was not something that was hard or challenging but something to look forward to. The example that comes to mind is volleyball, where I would play for with the same group two or three times a week after work.

I need motivation too! I have gained 15 lbs over the last year due to losing my job & not being active. I went from working out 5x/ week to hardly at all. Now that I have a new job, my employer has a small gym that is free to use but I lack motivation! I feel like crap & I know if I start working out again & eating healthy I will feel much better. I used to workout during my lunch hour but now I only have a half hour lunch & after working all day, I just want to go home & relax before having to run my kids to their after school activities! My old coworker used to post inspirational quotes around my office to keep me motivated during my weight loss journey at my old job. So here you go, some motivation for you & me:
" no matter how slow you go, you are still lapping everybody on the couch"
