Further proof that Fitbit Accepted Solutions are meaningless.
I see these "accepted solutions" often and wonder who could have claimed that was an accepted solution.
Here, a member puts forth a convoluted question which perhaps none of us understand, yet the answer ( something along the lines of "Please clarify and restate your question") is somehow the "Accepted Solution".
Are "Accepted Solutions" just a joke? Surely the answer. "please restate the Question" isn't a solution to anything.

Accepted solutions are chosen by the OP of the thread.
To understand why a post has been marked as a solution, one must first understand what the person who started the thread is asking. Often I find someone is asking why, and they get their answer. Then more posts are asking for this to be fixed. Clearly they are two different questions.
As for the case with the current thread, my guess is that the OP accidentally pressed the solution button and doesn't realize that they can undo.
Would it be helpful if I unmark it?

"Would it be helpful if I unmark it?"
Makes no difference, to me anyway.
Because this "Accepted Solution" was bizarre it gave me the impression that the OP could not possibly have considered it to be "the answer". Odd that the OP marked the answer as "Accepted" then walked away.
But thanks for the explanation on why an answer is "accepted".

Your welcome, it probably got accidentally marked and they did not know that they could unmark it.
