Hey so I have a wedding which I will be a bridesmaid at and I am just disgusted with my body. I'm just wondering if anyone has and plan or what i can do to drop at least 40 lbs by September since the wedding is in October which leaves me with 3 months give or take..
Thank you.

Welcome to the community, @SoRa05 !
It’s commonly advised to lose no more than 1% of your body weight per week, if you want your weight loss to be sustainable. 40 pounds in three months (12 weeks) is an average of 3.3 lbs per week. It’s most likely way more than 1% of your current weight. The implied caloric deficit would be about 1700 calories per day in average. This would mean, for instance, eating 1300 calories (which is very little, even for a petite woman) while burning 3000 calories (which is a lot, especially for a woman).
Your long-term health is more important than a single event. I would therefore suggest losing what you can at a sustainable/reasonable rate until October, and plan to lose the rest over whatever time it takes. I suggest you have a look at one of my favourite resources for weight loss, the Losing All Your Weight At Once video. It explains the reasons why you want to take your time, if/when you need to lose a lot in order to reach a healthy weight.

It's not my favourite thing but you can start a keto diet and also watch your sodium so you can lose a ton of water weight along the way as well . 40 pounds is a little much but maybe 25 might be achievable if you are big enough to start with that 40 pounds won't endanger your health.
Exercise should be part of this as well so start walking or maybe spin cycling or something.
There are lots of sites documenting how to do the keto thing as it is really popular these days and it does work.

@SoRa05 .. I really feel for you, but you kind of have to be realistic with what is possible and healthy. you can for sure crash diet and lose the weight.. however.. healthy, hmm, probably not. you also have to consider the whole dress thing. how much are you willing to pay for alterations. 40 pounds is 4 sizes.. it will cost you triple the cost of the dress. Woman to woman.. create a lifestyle for yourself starting today that is in a healthy deficit.. get active.. tone so your body looks tighter than it does now and when you go for your final fitting.. be wowed with your success, whether it is 20 pounds or less. You will be gorgeous no matter what...

@PaleKing this is a very old thread that has had no activity for more than five years. If you have a question or concern about your Fitbit, it might be best to start a new thread.
