How accurate is the calories out for Charge 2 during exercise

My BMR is ~2300 (16, 102kg, m, 6"3)

I'm burning 3500-4500 cals per day (upper bound) with ~10km and 12-16k steps

But just the fact that its telling me going for a 17 minute walk with HR at 101 avg burns 152 calories makes me skeptical (resting is 59bpm)

Like should i eat less than 2500cals per day to ensure the deficit is big enough or what (going for 1000 under)

Or does anyone know approx how much over the cal out estimate is for exercise?

Thanks

@beter ive moved your discussion guestion out of the hardware problem board and into the weightloss board.

Based on personal observation and analysis I determined that my Charge 2 overestimated my calorie burn by at least 600 per day.

My suggestion for anyone using calorie counting as a weight loss method is to set a daily budget and control how much you consume regardless of how much you think you're burning. You can't truly know how many calories your body is burning, but you can definitely know how many it's consuming; control the one factor possible. At your age/weight, I would start with 2,000 calories and see if it generates the results you desire.

Using the info that you gave, as well as some examples of my own into this nifty calculator (http://www.calories-calculator.net/Calories_Burned_By_Heart_Rate.html) I got that the Charge 2 is potentially overestimating by about 20 calories for that time period.

That being said, i know that there are times when I am using mine that it underestimates because it doesn't read my heart rate correctly during a workout. If you have been going for a couple months and are not seeing results I think that it would be worth trying what @DavidSchneier suggested and cutting down to 2000 calories. I am always reluctant to say that, though, because I consider the RMR calories to be 'free calories' especially when you are burning calories from walking and working out as well.
