I started out with a -1000 plan, but soon realized I couldn't handle it... I was going over my calorie goal more often than not, and I was feeling hungry way too often. I lowered my plan down to -500 and have found a real "sweet spot" if you will where I am able to meet my plan's limit AND not feel hungry. I would suggest finding a plan that works best for you....maybe start with -250 for the first week, and work your way up?

I'm going to move this from the Fitbit One Help forum to the general weight loss forum so that others can share their stories with you!

The -1000 per day plan is the "2 pounds a week" plan, right? In the forums of another site I use they suggest that is really for folks who have 80 or more pounds to lose. If you are in 20 or less range then something closer to -250 per day (1/2 pound per week) is probably more appropriate.

I'm guessing you didn't gain the weight in a couple of weeks (or months) it will take at least that long to make a real permanent change to keep it off.

Good luck.
