what if you eat bellow the ideal calorie?

What happens if you eat bellow the ideal zone in calories?   Do you really think it hurts weight loss?  The calorie recommended keeps moving up as the day goes on... why?

Everyone's body is different and it likely depends on your body type. Personally, I have found that by eating too little, my body goes into "hibernation/starvation" mode and starts to retain calories and makes me plateau in weight loss. It also makes me hungry which makes me cranky and that isn't very fun for anyone. I personally have found the "sweet spot" to be -500 calories.... I'm not hungry all day but I also lose weight at a steady pace. Everyone's body is different however, so tinker around and find what works best for you.

That's a feature of Fitbit - the more calories you burn, the more calories it will "allow" you to eat. That's because you'll need to eat more calories to replenish the energy you burned off. A -500 deficiet means that you should eat 500 calories less than you burn, so if you burn an extra 100 calories, you can eat an extra 100 as well, as long as you are still -500 for the day. You can tweak this setting at http://www.fitbit.com/foods/log
