How does the fit bit count calories/tracking steps with seated exercises

I have serious neuropathy and I cannot stand for longer than 10 minutes. I bought an elliptical like thing where it is just the feet.  I can do it seated.  I'd like to know how much I am burning and tracking with this.   Can it?  Once I get my leg strength back I can walk further than I do (right now only about 500 feet - from 5 miles 2 years ago before the neuropathy hit *like a ton of bricks*)

I miss walking, I miss bike riding - and I want my strength back so I can lose weight and get thinner and healthier

So, will the fit bit track seated exercises??? I sure hope so!

I'm afraid you will have to manually log activities that are not step-based. Even the elliptical is one such activity.

Ok, thanks! I wish I could walk - but that is going ot take a lot of therapy and a few years before I get back to who I used to be
