Looks like I started about two weeks before you did, I also wanted to lose 25 lbs. have already lost 14 lbs. I've always been quite active, where I needed the help was with diet, calories in, verses calories burn't. By closely monitoring my food consumption I have a better understanding of Calories, Fat content, Carbs, etc. The trick for me seems to be if I run a calorie dificit, the more the better, I loose weight.

I use it as a couch potato alert starting at just 4000 steps a day and bumping up the steps as my fitness improves. Now I'm at 10000 steps a day; not bad for a guy no one believed would walk again after spinal surgery...
Down 36 pounds since the beginning of the year too, so activity helps with weight loss.

My Hubby got a fitbit as a work gift and started us out on this journey and he is down over 100 lbs now and I'm down 60 lbs. For me the two things I like the most are the webpage for tracking it's so helpful to know what/how much I'm eating and the 2nd is the modivation I get wearing it as I want to make sure I get it to buzz so many a evening at 11PM I go for a quick walk if it hasn't buzzed yet for me 🙂
