The database of food is so limited with fit it. Can you sync the fit it with my fitness pal or another program that has a better database?
Yes. Here are the instructions:
How do I link my Fitbit account with my MyFitnessPal account?
First, you will need to create an account at the Fitbit website at https://www.fitbit.com/signup
Once you have created your Fitbit account, login to your MyFitnessPal account and visit this linkhttp://www.myfitnesspal.com/apps/show/30 and click "Link Accounts"
You will be taken to a page at fitbit.com where you can authorize the connection between your MyFitnessPal account and your Fitibt account. (If you are not already logged in at fitbit.com, you will need to log in before you can complete the authorization).
The help page can be accessed here

loseit.com also has synching capabilities with fitbit, and the iPhone Lose It app (not sure about Android) does have food scanning.

I don't understand how everyone says the database is so limited.
The database is as complete (to me) as most other calorie counting software I've used.
I've tried Loseit, WW, calorieking, MFP, SparkPeople, and probably a few more I'm forgetting. For packaged/processed food, I usually have the wrapper there to enter the info if it's not already in the database.
For fresh food I've always found the foods with no issues.
I'm wondering if people are trying to look up "egg salad sandwich" or something and then can't find it. I always just enter each food item separately then. Or create my own entry.
