Jayescreations- do not give up. Bone on n bone has to be very painful. Have you tried walking in a pool? Can you perhaps ride a bike? If not that then how about doing upper body workouts? You do realize that all that exercise is going to keep you healthy but to loose weight you need to fix your way of eating.
If I can help you in anyway just ask 🙂

Jayescreations- if you want to sleep is it because you are sad and depressed about the situation or is it because you need to catch up with your sleep? Perhaps you need to sleep as you are truly tired?Perhaps your body is trying to heal its self? Have you heard of those injections ( not cortisone) that they can inject to create artificial cartilage between the bones. A type of artificial synovial fluid?
I just heard of an excellent book called Miracle Morning by Hal Elrod. This guy has faced enormous challenges and al lot of his success on his health and life have been through doing things differently and his attitude. You can hear an excellent podcast interview with him on Impact Theory with Tom Bilyeu. I think you can find it where any podcasts are and on Youtube or I-Tunes. Hope this helps

@Judy1944 Welcome Judy, I'm 78 and perfectly healthy which is surely partly because I have walked about 7500 steps at least, every day, for decades. I only do 5,000 on my treadmill & the rest shopping, or housework and gardening.

@jayescreations @helena I tried to find helena but didn't see her post a second time it was in some Pop-Up discussion??? Anyway, Jaye, sounds like you need a C-Pap machine to get some sleep and a knee replacement?? I don't really know anything about knees though.
All the rest of you, consider the longevity calculator test at blueprint income.com which was featured in the Wall St Journal. Your have to click around a bit until you find a search place and put in "How long will I live?" Kinda fun. They ask all your personal info, gender, race, age, weight, height, ed, marital status, retired? diabetes, smoking & alcohol and how you rate your health. Then they calculate your life expectancy.

Pool is not possible. You are so right about changing the way I eat. And exercise is also needed. I was going to the senior center for group exercise and then the covid shut down the center..

Regarding the exercise you have to be clear on your WHY . Why are you
exercising. ask yourself 5 x so you can dig down deep. When you really
understand your WHY you will do it. Start with really baby steps . 5
minutes every day and go from there. You want to get in the habit of just
doing it.
As to the sugar. Yes, that is a devil. It was my downfall and I am sorry to
tell you but if you are addicted to sugar ( as I was) you need to treat it
as a drug. That means you need to really just say NO! And I truly mean go
cold turkey. No substitutes either . JUst stop - you can have fruit instead
while you are weaning yourself off. It is difficult in the beginning but
after the first couple of weeks it becomes easier and then the sugar devil
will subside BUT it will jump back worse than before if you have a taste.
Just like cigarettes or drugs or anything else you are addicted to. So
again WHY do you want to stop. Understanding it will motivate you. I have
finally been off sugar since July 27th 2019. Please believe me that it can
be done. I have done it 3 times. I went sugar free for 5 years then just
had an eskimo pie and that was that for years. It was really difficult to
get straight again.
If I can help you in any way just ask 🙂

I don't know what CBD oil is but I was just reading a study done in Wales that concluded that if you take 1000 mg of cod-liver oil for 21 days your knee pain will probably disappear. Sounded like it would be worth a try. It said many probably could avoid knee replacement surgery.
I'll bet the majority of people reading this, like you, need to take off some weight since Thanksgiving. I do. I threw away a package of tortilla chips today. Maybe tomorrow I can throw away the potato chips. I at least put all the almonds out of sight. Surprisingly...that actually helped lots. I didn't eat any today. (A very major achievement.) I hid the 10 calorie each marshmallows too. They last forever anyway. LOL

CBD is Hemp oil. no THC. bottle says put 20 drops under tong but I rub it on my knee and top of foot before bed. Im just experimenting now. I am thinking about trying an injection of what you mentioned. For now insurance doesn't cover it.

@jayescreations Cod liver oil is sold over the counter in various numbers of milligrams and prices. You can google. Also google the Study at Cardiff University in Whales. The study participants took it for months but you might git rid of your problem in 21 days. Cod liver oil comes in capsules or soft gels and maybe other forms I'm not familiar with it. It might taste bad, and the more expensive varieties might taste better??? It would surely be worth a 21 day supply to try it. 1000 mg per day. Some of the offerings were for less mg. Why would you take injections? You don't need insurance for this fix.
