No I feel pretty good which is weird, because this whole week I have felt awesome because of the clean eating & extra workouts. But now I don't feel sore, just depressed 😞 I hit my halfway mark (30 pounds down) and now it's like it is dragging again. I hope it's something that will work itself out. And this is all my body, has nothing to do with my challenge for clean eating or following your advice! All the responsiblity is on me!
I have pushed myself 6 days in a row doing either classes or training or running. Maybe today after I have my certified "lazy day" lol it will give my body a reset!
Oh and CONGRATS !!!! SOOO proud of you for hitting your 60 pound milestone! You are incredible 🙂

@MoonlightCello Love what you do with those dogs! I am more than impressed. And yes, my girl is not a pup. She just turned 7, which isn't quite a senior, but she's getting there. I found her on a website in Calif. when I was visiting a friend (I live in Colorado). She had been used for breeding and the owners were getting rid of her. My own sweet old dog had died six months before, and so I was ready. I let go of my return flight, rented a car and drove her home. That was three+ years ago, and she was terrified of everything when I first got her, having lived with 5-6 other female in a hard-pack kennel her whole life. Now she rules the roost! Good for you for all you do with those labs. Keep up the good work!!!!

I went to a zumba once. Everyone paused to get their water, and I thought "wow. That was exhausting. I don't know if that's for me." Thinking class was over, I left.
Walking out the door I heard the music pick up and the zumba continue. Holy smokes, it was only half over.
I would have keeled over if I'd stayed.
So, good on you for giving zumba a go! Who knows, it might turn out to be fun, and you can always leave during the water break!

Thanks for welcoming me to the sight walking is my big thing I am a type 2 diabetic have kept it under control for 10 years with walking and diet but last 2 years have ended up on oral medication quit walking and ate everything in sight. January this year doctor said I should go on stronger medication I rebelled said I would like to try diet and walking again but have been yo yoing on the weight thing for the last 8 months.
Summers are not to bad as I work in the garden and flowerbeds walking the dogs 2 to 3 miles a day this last week with the fitbit have upped that to 5 to 9 miles a day. Doctor says I should not run as it will hurt my knees and had a bad lower back injury years ago that I must be careful of or it goes out and I end up back in the doctors office.
I already know that winter is going to be hard hate walking outside in the cold and despise the treadmill have a weight bench but have never been to good at it.
Eating to much seems to be my big problem even using the fitbit sight this past week I went over on cal. 2 times will weigh in tomorrow morning and see how things go.
Not doing to bad for 73 but sure could use some help with motivation. Thanks

@nyx425 omg that had me cracking up....a walrus having a seizure... that is EXACTLY how I feel and I have the disc in my house and I felt silly. I should add that I'm 45 and far from having one of those zumba bodies that moves that way.... I felt ridiculous...but you know what I found Leslie Sansone (I think thats how you spell it) and i found my groove...and now I'm running more and have my husband on board and although I've been doing this since February and have only lost 6lbs he joined me a month ago and has lost 12.... ugh but oh well at least he's keeping me motivated..haha.. .keep going until you find your nitch.

I'm yet to try Zumba but I picked up a kettlebell the other day from the shops so I could add some strength training to my exercise routine, at the moment it's very cardio orientated, I'm hoping this will help with toning my wobbly bits lol.
Has anyone here done any kettlebell exercises before & could anyone possibly recommend some sites with good examples of kettlebell exercises or a DVD perhaps?
Thanks all

Hi @saraj91,
My favorite website is bodybuilding.com. There are tons of workout routines based on your goals and I think you can search based on the equipment you are using.
One thing to watch out for if you are adding weights to your routine for the first time, is that you will probably find you are hungrier. Your body needs more calories to build muscle, so you might need to adjust your diet a bit. The muscle building and weight loss diets clash that way, but I am sure you can find a good balance.

Thanks for the advice @Rhythm I'll check that website out!
I have recently slightly upped my calorie intake as I don't think I was eating enough vs. what I have been burning to actually see results, like you say, muscles need more to build & as my weightloss each month has become slower & stedier I think I need to adjust my diet to allow for this. Next few months I think this is something I'll keep my eye on, still a way to go yet though.
