I'd love to join! Here are my stats... gulp!

Starting weight (August 2013): 154 lbs

Current weight (Sept 1, 2015): 140 lbs

Goal weight (whenever I can!): 132 lbs

Had a pretty good weekend over did it yesterday and caused sciatica pain to be horrible. Taking it easy today hoping I still keep making progress even though I have to slow down till pain tolerable again. Hope everyone else is having a great day. Hello to all the new joiners good luck we can do this.

Thanks for the luck and encouragement! It's tough, knowing where the candy bowl is at work. Alas! And sorry about your pain acting up; that's no fun. But rest up and you'll be back at it in no time!

OK, scale is moving in the wrong direction so far but I think it's mostly just water weight. Hit my step goal (14K) today and going to head out for a training run now! Have fun and keep stepping, everyone!!

Hi Jenna

Welcome. Candy is poison! Imagine a skull and crossbones on that nasty dish and don't go near it. Walk away and stay away. You can do it.

Ouch Piglet,

Stretch and take it easy. I used to sit on ice packs when I pinched my sciatic nerve. 20 minutes on 20 off.

Ibuprofen helped too. Hope you feel better soon.

Jenna Goal weight need a date like Halloween. Maybe go for 135 by Halloween in 6 weeks.

Barbara

I'm going for last few pounds also.

At 5'7" I'm aiming for 134 or 135. Just the lower belly is holding on tight to a few lbs.

Best,

Barbara

week 1 check in:

Down 3 but since it is the first week, suspect it is mostly water.  Will need to stay focused to keep momentum going.  I am trying a "do one thing better" rule of thumb this week - focusing on adding more fresh fruit and vegetables to the diet, less bread.  ok, that's two things technically but you get my meaning...

SW 174

CW 171

Goal: 163

UGW: 150

To all those making progress, I am celebrating your victories.  To those who are struggling, I am wishing you all the best this week - go get 'em!

It should be an interesting weekly weigh in this week.   A got thrown a big curve ball.  I had applied for and interviewed for a job 4 months ago.  The interview went well, but developments on the employer end caused the positions to be placed on hold.  One week ago today, I got an email saying that the positions are open and they extended an offer.  I was very excited and I told my boss at work that I should be getting this new job, pending background checks, etc. My start date would probably be some time in October.  Later on that day, the department manager comes over to congratulate me and informs me that they are letting me go because I will not be there through the end of the year and to pack my desk.  My fitness routine revolved around work.  walks from my car, on my break, on my lunch, would put be at 10K steps easy.  The sudden break in routine was a shock.  I figured with all this extra time, it would be easier to make goals, but it made it harder.  But I sucked it up, been to the gym 4 times, found some new walking paths and have made goal for the last 9 days straight.  Now we will see shortly if it translated to the scale.

Welcome to our Halloween Challenge!!! It's never too late to start on this journey!!!

All you need to do is post your Start Weight (CSW or SW) and your Challenge Goal weight. Remember, when you set your goal, that it's only 6 weeks until Halloween, so keep it achievable, but challenging enough. Usually 1-2 lbs per week are a good goal to reach for.

And I also just sent you details via personal message on the other private challenge I am running.

So again: Welcome and come check in often and have FUN!!
