Well, time to check in. This week was hard for me, with work, it was that time of the month, and family in town, so I wasn't expecting much loss, but I was expecting some! I gained a pound! I'm still on week 4 of the couch 2 5k, for some reason I've always struggled with this week. I'm on run 2 (of 3) so hopefully next week I'll be on to week 5. The city just built a biking and walking path to the french quarter that ends on my street, so I've been biking that too. It's about 3 miles one way, and it's all pretty flat and since it's brand new it's still in good condition. I'm also thinking of starting the fat smash diet with my neighbor. It's one of those pyramid diets that you start out eating only fruits and vegetables and then add back other foods over the course of 90 days.
SW: 185lbs - April 2015
CSW (challenge starting weight): 179.6lbs - 9/9
CW: 180.8lbs - 9/16
GW: 165lbs - 10/31
UGW: 120lbs

Checking in,
This week has been interesting. I was doing everything right until the weekend, when we went out with some friends for drinks, which I have not done for months, so I felt I could. I was not sure what it would do for my goal. That said, I did not lose anything the week before, so I felt it was important for my self-esteem to show some progress this week. So I did let myself party but stopped short of going too much over my calories limit and I am happy to say it paid off :). I am glad to see that I can still have fun every once in a while and show progress.
USW = 70kg
CW = 66.9kg (-0.5kg, or ~1lb)
GW = 61.8kg
UGW = ~53kg
Next week I am on vacation, so again I am hoping to be able to progress in my goal (since there will be lots of walking and I am hoping to get a workout or two in), while still letting myself try some genuine Chicago deep dish pizza!

Hi Rhythm
I think 1 slice of Chicago deep dish is about 395 calories so have a nice salad with it.

You are so smart to reverse that fatty liver as it is not good for liver function. 4 lbs in 4 days is surprising and may be water weight in part. Healthy eating will last a life time and soon your liver will be normal I bet.

Congrats to all who are working so hard and getting toward their goals.
My body seems to be using the Rule of 3 - 3 seconds of bad eating to put on 3 pounds, and 3 weeks of hard work to take off 3 pounds! But, I am slowly getting there. And I mean sloowly.

Hi Bobbinyc,
Love your humor. 3 and 3 rule=LOL.
Well tomorrow is last 40 minute practice before the medal ball. Annoyed with my "teacher" for making the routines too short and easy. 1 minute 13 seconds for a He is stubborn but I need to get over my anger and dissatisfaction. I plan to ask him once again to add 17 minutes of dance to it with pivots and contra check.
Hanging at 136.4 this AM but would love to see 135 on the scale tomorrow AM. Not that important though. Mainly I need to accept what is and dance my best and adjust my attitude for now. I'm thinking about switching to the coach that is 50 minutes away and dropping this more convenient 20 minutes away one due to the feeling that he wants to limit me. I hate the feeling of being underestimated and put in a small box, so to speak. A huge old issue for me. A need to be challenged, and to be learning and stretching to a higher level.
Thanks for listening to my drama rant. Brother, as Eckhart Tolle says, just watch the drama arise and be the still presence. Hard to do for me but I'm working on it.
Hope that you are doing well and enjoying the now.
All the best,
Barbara

Good Morning All ,
Just wanted to say Thanks for the encouragement and congrats on breaking my plateau , it really means a lot and helps keep me motivated to know their are people out there that get the frustration..lol
Looking forward to next weeks weigh in ( I have officially broke into the 140s , hoping the weight will keep moving down now after that awful plateau!)
Have a great day everyone , keep working , together we will make our goals

That's a lot of protein, @WAREAGLE05! How do you manage to make 45% of your intake protein?

Good job!! I know exactly how you feel about wanting to chuck the scale; whenever I do get on the scale, I close my eyes, say the serenity prayer, count to three, and then look down. It helps somehow! Lol 🙂 Congrats!!

I have to say I love how positive this thread is! I see a lot of support and encouragement going on here! I recently switched from a more Paleo plan to a Clean Eating plan and I am kind of amazed at how I am feeling. If you had asked me last week I would have told you that I felt great on Paleo and that I did not feel low on energy. The problems I was having were that I was not getting my workouts in and that the weekends would roll arround and I would CHEAT! (in capital letters!) So, my daughter who eats clean (5 small meals, protien at every meal, nothing processed...) encouraged me to give clean eating a go again. So I started on Monday and I have to say, I feel ENERGIZED. I have done all my workouts so far this week, and last night, when I usually sit down to watch TV I decided to get up and do some housework instead. Weird. I also, so far, don't feel cravy at all. I have no real idea yet what my results on the scale will be, but I am going to keep paying attention and seeing how I feel.
I also love the 3 - 3 rule! I had to laugh at that one. Just be glad its not the 3 - 10 rule!!!!!
