Hi wonderful fitbitters,
Made my goal of 134 although it is 134.4 this AM but hey I call it a home run. Lower tummy still a little larger than I like so I may see what happens at 133 next.
Working on another 2 waltzes and performing 2 off them on Thursday Oct. 8 at the local Arthur Murray studio.
I'm doing some pilates/yoga classes to increase flexibility and of course more core strength.
Sore in a few spots today.
Off to water my neglected garden.
Keep eating healthfully (lots of veggies) and enjoy each and every day.
Do you know that thoughts lie?
Negative talk from inside or out is poison and you can chooze not to believe it. Support your changes along the way and establish a loving and kind relationship with yourself. It can last a lifetime.
We are doing this together,

Yes, patience is key to keeping on keeping on. It is normal to have a 2 pound fluctuation in weight based on many factors including hydration, elimination, recent muscle use water storage etc.. As bobbinyc said scales can act like trampolines. Don't listen to the voice inside that says you should quit, it is too hard, you're too old,etc.,. If you eat healthfully and in the right portion size and work out most days you will get healthier and loose weight in time.
We need to give ourselves encouragement for every healthy change we make. Set reasonable goals that build success, one step at a time.
You are part of our challenge team now so ignore discouraging messages and we will get there together.
Best,
Barbara G

Shakri101 wrote 2 weeks ago:Thanks Mermaid, the 2 weeks prior to finding your little motivation helper here were both only .2kg losses so I had slowed down, so this helped greatly this week
.
According to my BMI chart on here I am only .2 off of going from obese to just plain overweight........maybe this time next week
.
Congratulations to all who have dropped a little this week.
Hello all just checking in, had a surprisingly good week last week even after over-indulging for my birthday
.
I am down to 94.4kg (207lbs) only 1.4kg(2lb3oz) off of my halloween goal and have finally got into overweight not obese on fitbit's BMI chart
.
I have also finally got some motivation to live a bit of life again so I thank this forum for a lot of that extra push I needed.
I cleared the cobwebs off of myself and my bike and spent my 51st birthday out doing this (and sometimes staying on the bike as well

Again wishing everyone the best on their journey
good luck to all

Hi All,
Hope you had good weekends. So on my week off I did indulge my sweet tooth once (or twice) with a chocolate brownie (my ultimate pudding weakness lol), & we enjoyed a few delicious meals out at some of our favourite restaurant, nothing super unhealthy though & having said all that we did walk our socks off! On Tuesday alone I racked up 30k steps, my most in one day yet. Snacks were fruit & nuts & I found drinking plenty of water helped to keep me full & my energy up. I managed almost all of my workouts, I may have skipped going for a run on Tuesday for the first time in ages but never mind lol.
So with all that in mind I hopped on the scales this morning not really knowing what to expect but thinking if I gained a pound or stayed at my current weight I'd be happy, so I was mega surprised to see that I have dropped 3lbs! Guess after being stuck at 150lbs for so long & then probably doing more exercise than I thought over my week off my body has caught up with the exercise I've put in.
SW 4/9: 153
PW: 22/9: 149
CW: 5/10: 146
GW 31/10: 145
Hope you all have a good week

Weigh in on Saturday, October 3 (after closing my eyes and saying the serenity prayer): 136.5 lbs! Woohoo! Yay rewards for making good choices for most of last week!! Also: non-scale bonus- my thighs have stopped high-fiving each other when I walk. Now they just wave from across the room... this is AWESOME!!
Starting weight (August 2013): 154 lbs
Current weight (Oct 3, 2015): 136.5 lbs
Goal weight (whenever I can!): 132 lbs
Woohoo! On the way!

@awood08- that's FANTASTIC!! Welcome to what my friends call Wonderland 😉 !! And good luck with your marriage- I will pray that you two can work things out. I don't have any idea what your religious views are, but have you ever seen the movie "Fireproof"? I thought it was pretty good, regardless of faith background.
Best of luck, in love and health!!

@Jenna_smiles thank you 🙂 I'm very happy & excited to be where I am now.
Yes we both have watched Fireproof and we both loved it. Unfortunately he is not that type of guy lol
We will figure it out, no matter what it is or the outcome, our kids are the most important thing so as long as they are happy and taken care of that's all that matters 🙂
Congrats on your weight loss too!!

Coincidentally I started my weight loss program on Sept. 3, so I think it's fair to post on here!
SW: 200 (9/3/15), my highest weight
CW: 187.6 (10/5/15)
GW: 155 (1/15/16)
I've been doing mostly great with food, but not getting in the exercise I need, both cardio and weights. I only get 30 active minutes/day two or three times a week, so that's my current struggle to make time for exercise and get my metabolism level up again.

I hit my Halloween goal early! I'm going to try to lose another 3 by Halloween. I cannot believe I've already lost this much since June. This journey has not been easy but it feels incredible. Now I really see more and more how strong I can be.
Have a wonderful rest of the week!

I have been doing my HIIT runs, but am less consistant with my weights. I am going to work on that a bit this week. I am also going to work on my stretches. I am having a bit of sciatic nerve pain and numbness and I read that stretching and core strength are key in keeping that at bay. I know I have really tight hamstrings and that contributes I am sure.

@dancefoxtrot Hi Barb. Congrats on your continued weight loss! Hard fought for, well earned. And how exciting about your dance demonstration! I love the elegance, grace, skill, discipline, music, and glamour of it all. I hope you don't have to paste rhinestones again. How much practice do you do for something like that?
I just signed up for a beginner adult ballet class and can't wait until it starts. There is something about dancing...

I hadn't posted for a bit as I was preoccupied with a health scare and ensuing medical tests, and then a good friend had a health crisis. Hopefully things are calming down now.
I forget sometimes and take my health and time for granted. Then I procrastinate doing what is best for me, thinking I'll do more tomorrow. Everything we do impacts us, as well as what we don't do. What I love about this group, is that so many of you are beautifully focused on getting healthy right now. For me it is never about the scale, though I love to see it go down, but about going through my life as strong, vibrant and problem free as possible.
Thanks to all of you for your ongoing support and motivation.

Thank you @SarahM!
@Bobbinyc thank you very much, it is very much appreciated!
I'm so sorry to hear about the health scare, I hope that both you and your friend's issues are resolved quickly and you both are at your very best health. You know you always have us here if you need anything, you work so hard and are so supportive to the rest of us too. Thank you for being a shoulder for us as well!
