Hi
I'm thinking about doing lighterlife, has anyone done it?
How did you get on with it?

I have no faith in very low cal diets or meal replacements. Weight loss is as much a pyschological journey as it is a physical one. These diets don't allow you to change or learn new habits. It seems to me that they are a quick fix and then the weight goes back on if you haven't dealt with the issue of why you are overweight in the first place. Plus they can be dangerous if you have a lot to lose. A friend of mine ended up with kidney failure due to the very low calories. It is much nicer to eat a healthy protein rich balanced diet then shakes and soups anyway.....
I am losing weight and would love to be your weight loss buddy if you want one! xx

I know someone who did Lighter Life, lost about ten stone. Then, they put on a stone within two weeks of coming off the plan and their weight has been steadily climbing since

I'm very wary of any 'diet' with a proprietary name..... and doubly so if they supply the food. In principle people will loose weight if they only eat the supplied 'food packs' in the appropriate quantities..... but what happens once they go back to making decisions for themselves on what to eat? Generally they regain everything they lost. There is no easy solution for long term, lasting weight loss other than grinding through counting calories and having it repeatedly hammered home how easy it is to eat 1,000 extra calories, and how difficult its is to negate them with diet and exercise.
