I am a school teacher and most of my vacation time is in July--and this makes it SO hard to keep on track with my eating. I'm looking for some others that would like to stay motivated through the month of July and reach a goal of losing at least 5 lbs. I do a mix of cardio and strength training faithfullty, eating clean and drinking enough water being my biggest challenges.
If you'd like to join me--please reply. Let's start of the new month right!

I would love to do your lose 5 in July challenge with you. I really need someone to help motivate me, my husband tries but isn't too good at it due to the fact that he can't really workout like he would like because of injuries that he received over seas. I am starting to go to the gym regularly and am trying my hardest to be on a vegan diet (I love dairy way too much, so I struggle with that part a lot). Water is a really big challenge for me as well, I know that I don't drink enough and I need to find ways to make myself drink more.
I'm new to adding people as friends but you can add me if you would like.

Wray Wray! Yea! Let's do this!
I'm not big into the whole community, add friends thing either, but I will add you--I think I can figure it out. I will try to check in each day. Today I did a 60 min. circuit. I invested in a rebounder which is the most amazing piece of equipement I haver ever owned. SO easy on my joints, I get my steps in and can really get my heartrate up. I love it!
SO glad to meet you and look forward to getting to know you better as we tackle the month of July!
Amy
p.s. I did NOT drink enough water today!

I didn't do too much today because I am still really sore from over doing it the last few days. I ran 2 miles and plan on walking 3 tonight. I'm starting to get better with what I am eating though which is a huge step for me because I am such a big foodie. Once I go back to work on the 7th it will be a lot easier for me to go to the gym. When I'm at work I have a total different mind set. Gym before work, then PT and gym after work is what I usually do but being on leave is killing me lol.
Glad to meet you too
-Beth
P.S. I didn't drink enough water today either, I need to do what I used to do and set an alarm for every one or two hours and drink water every time that it goes off...

The response tonight has been so overwhelming to me--I don't have much to lose, but I'm stuck and really need some motivation. At my heaviest I weighed almost exactly 100 lbs. more than I do today--so I know it in my heart and mind that all of this is possible, but let's face it, it's hard!
If you'd like to share what you're doing for exercise and eating, please do---it will help keep us accountable.
Today I met with teachers and they had a carry in--I carried in peppers/cukes and hummus along with some Special K cracker chiips. The cracker chips are a rarity for me as I really do try to eat preservative free--but sometimes when people are crunching and munching around me---I need to crunch, too.
For fitness, I recently bought a rebounder because my hips and knees don't tolerate running much. I paid the bucks and bought a really nice one and I have to say it's the single best piece of fitness equipment I've ever owned. (I used to think it was for old ladies.) Easy on the body and you can really get some serious cardio in...but here's the thing, I can see how I will be using this well into my "senior" years. Now that's some good stuff, right there. 🙂 Here's the website. http://www.bellicon-usa.com
