It can be hard at times. One of the things I have done is start to listen to audio books when walking and in the gym. I only listen to them on those occassions. When I don't have motivation to exercise, I find motivation in wanting to hear what happens next in the book. I have also picked someone on my fitbit friends list to compete with, not always the same person. I always aim to equal, or do better than they've done in a day. It helps that I am a bit competitive, which is why that gives me the motivation I need.

I do exactly this, audiobooks instead of sitting down to read in the evening and compete with whoever is above me in my friends list 😄
Since getting it, I've not missed a target yet but I have found myself out just before midnight to make up the numbers. The trainer app has put my calorie burn number up this week by a good amount and I'm not sure I will hit the targets, I had an especially busy weekend where I was on my feet most of the time and I think this has skewed my numbers a bit
