Made It!!

If anyone would have told me I had to lose 130 pounds before Nov 2013, I would have said, "You're crazy!!"

Well, after my doc told me at the end of Oct that I had Type II Diabetes and I needed to lose weight, I realized I had to lose this weight.

So, from the start of my weight loss odyssey back on Nov. 1, 2013 to now, I have lost 130 pounds.  That's right folks, I DID IT!!!!  I weighed in at 169.75 this morning.  259 days and 9 2/3rds months.

My initial target weight goal set way back when was 170 lbs.  My doc has told me to stop taking my Metaformin as of last night.  My glucose reading this morning was only 87.

So, if a  58 year old guy with MS, thyroiditus, and diabetes can do this....What's your reason for not staying on your program?

I'm not stopping.  Still need to get into my BMI "normal range" which starts around 164 lbs for a 5'8" male.

Ideally, I'd like to get down to my college weight of 155, but I'm just ecstatic I'm at 170.

Here are my metrics on this journey....

Fantastic LewWagner a goal to be proud of.  I am within 12 lbs of my goal (alot less than you only 54 lbs ) These last lbs are getting harder to lose but will keep going (I am off the high blood pressure meds) and it feels good.  Keep healthy Lew

@wrongway I have 13 lbs left but those last few are the most stubborn!  But I am sure victory will be THAT much sweeter for both of us Smiley Happy

Good luck!

Congratulations Lew!  🙂

I'm still trying to lose that last pesky 5 pounds, but I'm okay no matter what, even if I never lose them.  I would be at my dream weight at 125, but I'll settle if I need to.  No more stressing over it.  Now I just want to be as healthy as I can be. 🙂
