Micro-resolutions

Has anyone here used micro-resolutions to lose weight? I used them some to get myself working out again a couple of years ago and to lose weight.

I'm looking for a way to kickstart another round of weightloss. I'd like to lose a final 15 lbs. This won't be easy as it's my last 15 and I'm middle-aged and I've not been at the desired weight for 18 years. But I'd really like to do it.

I'd like to do it with micro-resolutions where I'm assured of many small successes and minor changes in my daily routine that support keeping it off once I get there.

I'd love to hear from others who have used this approach.

Im in my mid 60's and  retired from a career I loved. the result? an extra 25 pounds! since mid-August i have reshaped my eating and excerise patterns. I plotted out where I want to be health wise, cut out cool pics from a Chico catalog. Next I broke it down into weekly goals and celebrations. Week 1 was simply no sugar ,or no more than 3 grams in a food. When i accomplished that, I got myself a new kindle book. I just kept going, writing down what i did and what my next step would be and what i hoped to accomplish. I didnt write more than 2-3 times a week unless i was struggling. but those little steps, written out , with my rationale and my celebration really did it for me. Since August 13 Im down 25 pounds an have decided to go for another 15. Its been fun to look back at my journal and to find little gifts to myself that dont cost a lot and DONT involve food. I found taking pics of myself helps as well. good luck to you!!!!

Thank you. This is helpful. I tried the no-sugar idea and it was too large for me. All I wanted then was sugar, lol. I like the idea of reducing the amount or capping it. Also using positive inducements such as gifts, Chico's pics, and seeing your progress. Thank you for sharing.
