Motivation

Hi everyone! I am 23 years old and I began my weight loss journey in July of 2015. I started off at 333 lbs and have since lost 40 lbs. The first 30 lbs were so easy to fall off but I'm noticing that the more I lose, the harder it gets no matter what I do! It has started to become a bit discouraging, and I'm wondering if any of you have ever experienced this? And if so, what did you do to stay motivated or to speed up the process? Also, any tips on what I can do to improve my weight loss journey would be great. As of now, all I'm doing is keeping my calorie intake at 1500, and working out daily.

Yep, you will notice that the numbers start dropping much slower over time.  In that case you can try looking at other indicators of success, such as clothing fit.  Pull out an old piece of clothing you can no longer fit and make it your goal to get into it.  That can be an even bigger motivator than the numbers on the scale.

Also, you can focus on things like how you feel overall during and after exercise.  Can you exercise longer than initially without needing a break?  Can you meet your milestones faster than initially?  All these are things you can be looking at besides the scale.

Another thing, I don't know what your BMR and calorie burn rate is, but don't deprive yourself as you go along.  Meaning, if you keep a reasonable caloric deficit for you, eat nutritiously, and exercise, the weight will still drop, maybe slower, but in a sustainable manner in the long run.
