Good morning. I'm having a huge issue finding the motivation to get moving through the week. I work from 6am to 3pm and then I have a 14 year old that is running me everywhere and a 9 year old that does too. Any suggestions on how to find that time during the week to get moving or if you could add me and maybe push me that way. I'm great at walking forever. I did 5 miles last saturday with my youngest and she barely made it. Just really need that push. Thanks!

I have a similar schedule because I am a middle school teacher....every hour I walk once around my building. That adds up the steps. When I take my kids to soccer four days a week, instead of sitting in a chair and chatting with the other moms, I know walk around the fields. I have not had any problems getting in my steps since I started these 2 practices. If you are with your kids and want to go on a longer walk, use local bike paths and let your kids bring their scooters....just have the rule that they have to be in your sight. That way they can scoot ahead and behind and are less bored. Good luck...MareWalks

I know that it feels impossible sometimes to find the time to do certain things, but squeezing 20 minutes in your day will change your whole day's mindset.
How about a small walk in the mornings? Or a 20 min zumba class (by dvd or gaming console)? Dancing with your kids will certainly get all of you moving

I hear ya! I work from 4am - 1230pm, and then I too have a 14 year old girl and a 9 year old boy at home, and it's amazing how little time I actually have to myself, even though I get off so early. I am normally a morning workout person, but obviously, I can't do that with this schedule, but I find it very challenging to work out in the afternoons. I've gained almost 10 pounds in the past 2 months and really want to get rid of it. I'd love to do some challenges with you!
