Hey guys, I thought I would share my Juice Plus journey with you. If you don't know what Juice Plus+ is, it's a whole based nutritional supplement of 26 types of fruits, vegetables and berries. It comes in shakes, capsules and chewables, and can be used for weightloss, weight gain or just as a nutritional boost to your day. We promote clean eating alongside, which is no processed food.
I first heard of Juice Plus+ on Facebook. A friend of mine was posting how good she was feeling, how much energy she had, how her skin/hair/nails had improved and how well she was sleeping. As a single parent myself, I spent most of my time running about after my son. I would make sure he had breakfast, take him to school, not have any breakfast myself, sit infront of the tv as I was feeling tired and run down all the time, would generally skip lunch too. I'd pick my boy up from school and we'd have dinner together. As soon as he'd gone to bed, I would be ferreting in the kitchen for food. It would normally be crisps, biscuits, chocolate, cheese, don't even get me started on bread! Then I would go to bed early and toss and turn most of the night.
I decided to try Juice Plus+. You have to do a 2 week detox before you start, to rid your body of all the toxins and make sure your body's ready for all the goodness for Juice Plus+. It was an awful experience, as I had a lot of toxins! I suffered with caffeine/sugar withdrawals, cracking headaches, flu like muscle aches and general feeling like I was going to die! (not everyones is like that) 3 days it lasted. After that I started feeling better.
So I tried the shakes first(cheapest option) and instead of having nothing for breakfast and lunch, I had a shake. It literally takes 20 seconds to prepare it and you got the essences of 17 fruits and veg. After the first week I lost 4lbs and 7"! And I felt amazing! I HAD to try the capsules! If I was feeling this good with 17 essences of fruits and veg, how would 26 make me feel??! So I ordered the capsules. Within 2 weeks of taking them, the excema on my face was gone! My hair is growing thicker and faster, my sleep has improved dramactically and I've never felt so good in my whole life. In 3 months i lost 14lbs and 24"!! Not bad considering I started for the health benefits!

I went to a meeting recently about Juice Plus and I don't recall you HAVING to detox for two weeks before you start taking it? That's awesome that you have had such awesome results. I'm going to start taking the supplements next month to see how they help with joint inflamation. After having read up on normal multi-vitamins and how toxic they can be for your body (this after I mistook my multi for joint support supplement and took two and ended up feeling very ill for the rest of the day), I can no longer put that garbage in my body.
How does this coincide with your FitBit? Have you seen a drastic increase in your acivity level there?

It is advised you do do the detox. I know people don't always do it but all of my clients have and I recommend they do. It's like doing dry January but still drinking, if you know what I mean? Not beneficial at all.
Since starting Juice Plus+ my energy levels have rocketed. I used to spend all day, feeling like crap, watching tv, looking foward to going to bed. Now I'm up when my alarm goes off and on the go until 11/12. I've noticed a big improvement with my fitbit stats and have moved nicely up the leaderboard. I WILL be number 1 one day! lol!

Hello Sunshine,
I saw your post and wondered did you start eating Juice Plus. How is that working for you? For me... eating JuicePlus and using fitbit to record my day has been a win win. Would love to hear from you.

Hi Sunshine,
I just want to mention that drinking water is a good way to start detoxing also. take you wieght and divide by 2. That will tell you how many ounces you should be drinking per day.
For example. I weigh 184 lbs. Dividing by 2 tells me I should be drinking 92 ounces per day. If I divide 92 by 8 I now know that i should be drinking 11 eight ounce glasses per day (or six 16.9 ounce bottles of water).
Please let me know if that helps!

Hello
I am also a Juice Plus representative and love my journey with this product. I am five days into my Transform 30 (a new opportunity for eating healthy and supplementing with Juice Plus). I have already lost 3.8 pounds (from Wednesday to Saturday). The shakes are delicious and the tablets are easy to take. The key items for success include use of the Juice Plus product as well as elimination of wheat and dairy in the diet. I am feeling better and sleeping so much better. My energy levels have soared!

Any weight variation (one way or the other) observed over a five day period is likely to be water weight.
On their web site, the company advertises their product as the "next best thing to fruits and vegetables". I'd personally rather eat the actual stuff (and get the benefits from it - satiety, fiber etc.) rather than capsules made from it. OK, I would settle for capsules if I were an astronaut with no access to real food...

I personally can't eat a variety of 26 different types of fruit and vegetables everyday! I probably couldn't afford too either.

Neither can I, but I don't think you have to eat all fruits and vegetables known on the face of earth in order to have a healthy diet.
As to the price, for $44.50 (which is the stated price of a monthly supply of "Orchad Blend" and "Garden Blend" capsules), I'm sure one can buy a decent amount of the real stuff from which one can make real meals, even if it's "only" 10 different types of fruit and vegetables.
Here are some ingredients from which I make large supplies of a delicious soup:
It's more work, but well worth the effort.

In January I started the year off weighting 207 lbs. Thanks to Transform30 I was able to reach 184 by April. It is now October, my plan is to do the Transform 30 again; trying to lose a few more pounds.

"Detoxing" is unnecessary IMO, and juicing isn’t the optimal way to eat for weight loss (because you’d be better off getting your nutrients from solid food rather than from liquids), but if you’ve decided to go for it anyway, I don’t see why you’d eat differently during and after the "detox". When eating for weight loss and for health, you want the majority of your food to be from whole / minimally processed sources: lots of veggies, some fruits, raw meat, eggs, unsweetened yogurt, whole grain etc. These are foods rich in micronutrients and fiber that will do a good job keeping you full.

Agreed. I prefer to use my liver and kidneys to get rid of the toxins, because I'm lazy that way.
Wait...raw meat?
