Everyone is completely different when it comes to motivation. You have to find something that drives you internally to want to get up and go. Usually seeing results is the biggest motivation to get up and keep going. Maybe posting notes around your house to remind you to get to the gym or be active? For some, maybe find a group of friends to push you...who have similar goals. Or maybe your health and bettering it is what will movtivate you.
In terms of supplements to aid in weight loss - DON'T DO IT. 🙂 Weight loss supplements are garbage. The only supplement you need is maybe Brach Chain Amino Acids & vitamins. Maybe Protein for shakes. Bottom line, if you want to loose weight, it has to start in the kitchen. Increase your protein intake (eggs, chicken, fish, etc...) and decrease your sugar intake. Drink water like it's your job (you should be non stop going to the bathroom) because that jump starts your metabolism. Make sure you are eating a good breakfast...and take in the majority of your calories in breakfast & lunch. Cutting out sodium (salt) is a big one too.
You are already taking the hardest step...which is getting started to begin with. Ask yourself what do you really want and then find out what motivates you to get there. Maybe it's a pair of jeans you want to be able to wear, maybe it's a dress you want to buy. Whatever the case, don't let yourself be static for too long. You can do it and you should be proud that you are aware of what's holding you back...now you just have to want it.

Hi @Kelsey5093
When hungry try listening to your body how hungry it is, which foods it wants, what sounds most appealing to have in the moment? A salad? Maybe with or without some piece of meat.. could be even some pizza, a piece of your most favourite food..
Your body tries telling which nutrients it needs and knows which foods it contains, letting know when having enough.
Aim to eat nutrition rich foods mainly when desired provided by nature, though allow to have what your body desires when eating, if wanting a piece of fruit, have something else instead not really wanting.. going to eat the food originally wanted anyway, not really needing the other food, eating less calories overall in the longer run.
Eat slowly enjoy the taste, munch your bites until it's liquid.. don't rush through. It takes a while before your precious brain picks up there's enough food into the tummy. When eating slower, possibly feeling satisfied faster not possibly needing a second portion.
Feel how your body feels before, during, after eating. Eat until comfortable satisfied not stuffed.
Natural foods as minimal as processed makes feeling satisfied longer, providing the body the nutrients it needs, possibly not needing more.
Cookies can be pretty high in calories, if eating several it would quickly add up calorie wise though the body not having all nutrition it needs and still being hungry.
Cookies are also designed to taste good, to want more even if saying it stays with one, it can lead to having more.. Though when eating natural foods overall first , being so satisfied that it stays with one little treat instead..
Have fun

There are better scales out there than that one...even though it connects via bluetooth, the one I got and LOVE came from Vanity Planet. It's cheaper, it does more than the Aria scale and it's easy to set up.

I have 2 friends who have the Aria scale and they hate it. Both used it once. The one above also measures body fat, water % in your body, & muscle & bone mass. Plus it's on sale for about $50. (normally $125)

@Kelsey5093, what worked for me was to commit to some form of exercise each day. Yes, weight loss really is more about diet than exercise, but once you get into a healthy habit, you find you want to stick with it. I am NOT a Beachbody coach, so I am not pushing the program for any reason except that it has worked wonders for me. I am using the 21-Day Fix . . . it is all about portion control and working out each day for 21 days straight. It is expensive if you buy the program itself, but Amazon sells the containers that portion out your food and the set is under $15. I bought the set of containers. They are color-coded (green for a portion of veg, red for protein, purple for fruit, etc.) and you get a certain number of containers per day. I did not buy the program, but my daughter did, so we share it. The workouts are tough, and there are days when I switch out to something easier, like Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred. The point is to limit your caloric intake and get moving. You can repeat the rounds as often as you like, but the truth is, it has stuck with me to the point where now I eat very healthfully and I WANT to work out regularly. I find that on the days I don't think I am going to get some form of fitness in, I will invariably manage to get it in. Find something that you think you will enjoy, then commit to it for three weeks, whatever that is . . . could be healthier eating, could be working out, could be something that simply takes your mind off food, like some form of craft that you enjoy. Once it becomes a habit, it will stick. As for diet supplements . . . if you mean fat burners, etc., do some serious research first. You will be surprised at what you read. Good luck! Keep us posted.
